TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
